The play buttons control the selected track layers to increase or decrease musical complexity. This behaviour can be emulated by the game logic, allowing for adaptive soundtracks.

This pack conveys the off-kilter wonder associated with a happy, magical discovery. Although I imagined a fantasy location, this pack would also work in a sci-fi, platformer, arcade, or casual game.
Layer 1 has the drums and acoustic bass that provide the rhythmic drive and motion. Layer 2 has the sitar like instrument and a pulsing rhythm pad in the background. Layer 3 has a melody played and harmonized on the ancient instruments, the traverse flute and the gemshorn with a little mallet percussion layer for a cool effect.
The “Win” track loops and would be great for a win screen where players collect the spoils and/or experience points. The “Lose” track would be good for a danger or “game over” stinger.
